The Good, The Bad… it’s the Life!

Man… I’ve just been reading through my posts here, and I must say I’ve been on ups and downs, ins and outs. It just so happens that I feel like I’m on the low part of my mentality cycle right now, but in realizing that I’ve received a boost back up because I know I’ll be alright. I’ll have good days, I’ll have bad days. I’ll have lots of good days strung together, then I’ll have lots of bad days strung together.

But such is life! From the day I entered the Air Force, through the days I was marching around thinking “What the fuck did I get myself into?”, through the days I found myself at the top of my tech school squadron, then the days I was genuinely in love with a girl in the Philippines, to the day I was genuinely out of love with that same girl in the Philippines, through finding this thing on base (APAH) which I am in contact with people kinda like me… Up, down, up down… up up down down left right left right B A SELECT START. and now I have 30 lives!

OK but seriously. I guess I just want to mention this because on the off chance that you the reader have a string of shitty days, just realize that it’s normal and the sun eventually shines. For me, the shining sun is what gets me through my days of darkness. Maybe this is a universally-known fact or truth, but I feel hardly anyone ever talks about it.

And on a sadder note, I want to pay my respects to Khetti and Shiva, R.I.P. 2006, with a haiku.

Snakes, misunderstood.
