Best Buy is great, but the company (InPhonics) that handles their online cellular sales is SHIT.
Why? Because
- For some stupid reason your billing and shipping address need to be close together… I’ve never had a problem buying things online with my old bank card based in my old home while I was in Biloxi during 2005.
- The website that lets me track my order status or lets me know if there’s a problem with my order has NOT WORKED FOR THE LAST 3 DAYS!!! What The Fuxxor.
- There’s no support number readily available. I had to call Best Buy, which directed me to their wireless department, which had an automated message that told me to call another number, which had ANOTHER automated message for me to call another number based on the phone carrier, which FINALLY got me to a phone number where I was able to talk to an Indian-sounding customer service representative who fortunately was able to help me with my order.
It turns out that had I not called I would have been sitting with my thumb up my ass waiting for this fucking phone to show up in my mailbox for the forseeable future… they could not verify my address for some reason because the billing and shipping addresses were too far apart (WTFux?) So I just told them to ship it to the billing address so they could finally move the damn phone. At least the service rep I spoke with dealt with my problem with sufficient urgency, but still… having to call 5 numbers to finally arrive at someone who could help me? Not cool.
