Groggy after 13-hr “nap” 1 comment
Heh. Oh well, I guess I caught up on my sleep. I feel groggy as shit… I don’t like to be down for that long.
Why am I writing about sleep? Because I had an interesting dream shortly before I woke up. I had a bunch, but this is the only one I really remember.
I was in a really low-class formal back in high school… I was probably 15 years old, but I look the way I do now. It’s 2007. Basically it’s now, but I’m 15. All of the folks I knew in High School were there, but for some reason all the younger Airmen I’ve seen throughout my military career were there too… we’re all the same age, but we look different ages. I’m wearing a dark navy blue blazer with white pants and white soft leather work shoes… don’t ask my why.
So throughout the course of this formal, which for some reason was being held on the running track behind school that looks eerily like the track here on base, I find Kyuu Hee and sit down to hang out with her at a lunch table… one of these ones you find at schools that are one unit, bench chair and table bolted together so you can move the whole thing… and we’re just chatting about random stuff. Then John McCain drives onto the field, but there’s no hooplah or ceremony, people just move out of the way of the car and continue their conversations with each other. He drives up to our bench, and has a seat. I leave to grab some pizza from Strickland on the other side of the track circuit, we exchange a few words in a joking manner, and I go back to sit with Kyuu Hee and John McCain. Kyuu Hee is talking about she had some kind of speech she was preparing and wanted to say it in front of John McCain, to see what he would think. So McCain is like “Sure, okay.” And I’m just eating my pizza.
And then I woke up.
