A great day.

Booyeah.

I woke up and I thought today would be crappy. I bought Command & Conquer 3 (fun game, but getting hard… my RTS skills are wanting) and yesterday I played from the moment I got home until about 11:20PM…. and I had to get up at 4:00AM today for work. That sucked.

I spent the day troubleshooting a computer at work, and even got computer tech support to come out and help me out with it… we ended up attempting chat with Dell, only to end in frustration as it was closing in on the end of the day with no solution in sight, when lo and behold AFTER the tech leaves and I reboot the machine, the problem goes away!

So after that, with about an hour left of work, I go to our local equipment manager, and was asking about various things regarding inventory and how possible it would be to requisition a laptop for our section, and… lo and behold he’s ends up practically pushing multiple notebooks onto me. I was expecting to have to beg just for one laptop, but instead the question is posed… “How many do you want?” *boggle* Tomorrow our office is getting an early christmas present. A couple of christmas presents.

So I get home, and I get a phone call. It’s our section chief.

I need to plan a party or something. Not for just the promotion, but it’s been a great all-around day, first one in a while.
